OLED DESICCANT
Dynic's HG Sheet is a “Humidity Getter” desiccant used in OLED displays. OLEDs are the next generation of flat panel displays, used in cell phones, digital cameras, mobile video games, car navigational systems, medical equipment screens, and military applications. OLED stands for organic light emitting diode and is a technology that provides screens that are thinner, have more vibrant and high contrast colors, quicker response, a wider viewable angle, and fewer parts than traditional LCD (liquid crystal display) screens.
OLEDs have yet to be widely adopted, in part because they are very susceptible to black spot defects on the screen caused by moisture. Most OLEDs have tried using a silica gel or paste type desiccant, which has caused problems with drying times (slowing production). The HG Sheet from Dynic requires absolutely no bake-out time, allowing your production process to continue uninterrupted. Besides its high moisture absorption ability, the HG Sheet from Dynic is also easy to install, is thinner than gel desiccants, and is available in reels for use in robotic installation systems. HG Sheets are available in various thickness and sizes, and are currently in use by Sanyo. Pilot tests of the product are underway in the United States.
